The further the episode progresses, the more obvious it becomes that both for Bill and Lee the search for Kara is a personal and not a military matter. Especially Bill is losing it more and more and grasping at straws when he's giving reasons why they don't abandon the search, e.g. in the discussion with Tigh about Kara's O2 supply. Tigh is the voice of reason in these discussions (), but Bill of course doesn't want ... I liked seeing her as president, but not the sterotypical boring and corrupted old white guy, but as someone genuine, who was both vulnerable and human, yet at the same time, had an air of command about her that made me trust her judgement. That episode may lay the foundation for a lot of things/conflicts to come in future episodes, but I still find it rather boring most of the time. Obviously, "Act of contrition" is a very Kara-centric episode, so there are hardly and Laura or Bill scenes and no A/R scenes in it. I like the focus on Kara. Her interaction with Bill both in the present and in the flashbacks ...
